Strongbox

The Strongbox trenching system consists of two strongbox panels and the struts. The panels are connected vertically via connecting shoes to form a large shoring unit. A simple but solid wedge connection locks the struts to the panels. Hard rubber rings around the strut mounting points provide 5 degrees of movement in all directions.

In stable soils installation is carried out using pre-assembled strongbox units. In less stable soils installation is carried out from the top as material is excavated. For jobs like these, cutting panels are used for the bottom box unit. They have a smooth inside surface and are also suitable for shuttering work using cast-in-situ concrete. Removal is carried out piece by piece accompanied by backfilling and compacting.

Advantages:

  • Strut supports can be adapted to construction progress and structural requirements
  • Saves space during transport and storage
  • Suitable for almost all trench depths
  • Many installation and removal options;
    can also be built from the bottom
